This weekend was my first journey out on the town since Morgan was born and in almost a year. I figure go big or stay home. It was Amy's birthday party, and Meghan and Dominique organized the do. We were entertained by the talents of a drag queen which was a good laugh. He even had a smoke machine. Smoke machines make everything better. I was really looking forward to going out, but when I heard the party was moving to Sweetwaters, I was not as excited. I figured I'd be a trooper and suck it up. How bad could it be? I hadn't been there in years, and they have since combined the Rockin Rodeo with Sweetwaters and added cages for people to dance in. What a pit. I was approached by greasy old men within 5 minutes of walking in who stood 6 inches from my face and thought they were pretty clever when one of them told me his name was Rocky. That was one I hadn't heard before. I am amazed at the willingness of girls to jump in these cages and dance on the poles while guys stand around them and stare. Exhibitionism at its finest. The only difference between this and a strip club is that the beer is cheaper and not all the clothes come off. So anyway, Sweetwaters has had a facelift, but has not changed (not that I really thought it had). If you like to have your butt grabbed by strange men, you'll love it. The whole Sweetwaters visit reinforced that I have no desire to be there, and am thrilled to be home with my family. Speaking of which, Jody seems to be battling the flu today. I hope I can steer clear of it, but I wasn't so lucky with his cold a couple of weeks ago.
This girl loves the camera, but will probably hate me for putting that hat on her :)
Bella and Morgan hanging out.
