Christmas

Christmas morning was spent at our house with breakfast and present opening. Morgan wasn't all that interested in opening all of her presents. Once she found one she liked, she just wanted to play with it and refused to open anything else. So, it was up to Jody and me to open the rest of her gifts. We were are spoiled rotten and are grateful for everything. Then we were off to the Deans for a turkey dinner and Gloria's pecan pie!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with my family with a yummy dinner, present opening and off to a party.

Morgan got the hang of opening presents.

She loved her new tricycle.

The Party

Happy belated birthday to Patrick. He celebrates his birthday the day before Morgan does, and we had a night out at Snooty, and the highlight was the martini glass filled with whipped cream and a shot that Pat had to remove without touching the glass with his hands. He wasn't successful, but it was funny to watch.

Morgan had a birthday party with her friends last weekend. We stole the party idea from Julie, Weston and Jaida with a pyjama, pancake party. Mom and dad were kind enough to come and do the cooking. The kids seemed to have a great time.

Here is Morgan's friend from daycare, Ethan. She was thrilled to see him.

The grandparents commented on how well behaved the kids were.

The Big 2

Morgan turned the big 2 today, and she had a pretty good day. Her name was mentioned on the radio this morning while we were driving to work/daycare, we brought cupcakes into daycare for her and her friends, and her grandparents and uncles came over for supper, cupcakes and presents tonight.

She was doing a little rearranging of her Dora tent.

While I try to fight the princess trend, its hard to deny Morgan's status in this household. Thank you everyone for helping to make Morgan's day special.

U-Cut

We headed out to Keswick Ridge to cut our Christmas tree a couple of weekends ago. Luckily we got out before the huge snow storm so we were able to see what the tree would look like without snow on them. It was a little chilly out, so we wasted as little time as possible.

On the hunt for the perfect tree.

Jody hard at it.

And the final product.

Here is the table on our deck after the big storm. Get ready Louise!

Bella's 2nd Annual Xmas Party

Sunday started out with brunch at the Ramada for Jody's grandmother's 80th birthday. With his extended family, there were over 30 people there. Afterwards we rushed home for a quick nap and then it was off to Bella's house for her 2nd annual Christmas party.

Later it was off to nanna and grandad's house for supper. Morgan spent some time getting caught up on some work on the computer.

But once she noticed I was getting a back rub, she wasted no time horning in on my territory.

Osborne Christmas Gathering

The Osbornes had us over for a Christmas get together on Saturday night complete with loads of food, crafts, a puppet show and Christmas music for the kiddies. Morgan loves Suzanne's puppet shows and asks for them on a regular basis. Heather picked up a few more puppets for Suzanne's repertoire - Christmas puppets.

The kids sat still for a surprisingly long time and posed for pictures.

This was Emily's photo face for the evening. What a card.

And on with the show...

The kids loved the show and music

Anna was so good all night.

And Nathaniel was tuckered out after flirting with me for a while. He's so sweet.
