Winter has been a rough one this year, and it seems every week brings another storm of some description. Last week we had a snow/rain storm that knocked out our power for about 20 hours. We are becoming less diligent about shovelling a clear path for the car and walkway. Tonight's forecast is snow, and tomorrow... rain!

Here is Morgan at her easle. She also loves playdough (which sounds a lot like potato when she asks for it).

Here are some pictures of the trees with ice on them which i think is particularly beautiful, but of course the picture doesn't do it justice.

Winterfest

We went to Winterfest today and had a ball. There was a labrinth which I was worried we would never get out of and a huge snow slide (and smaller versions of both for the little people). There were pony rides and sleigh rides, ice sculptures and all kinds of other activities. We all had fun, and Morgan wouldn't even say she was cold because she was having so much fun. I think Jody's back side is a little sore from the slide, but he didn't mind taking one for the team.

Busting Out

Here is the online debut of my ever-expanding waistline. At first I tried to chalk it up to overindulging over the holidays, but there's no denying that the gut is pretty big even for someone who has eaten one too many chicken bones. This picture was taken of me at the halfway point, and we are looking forward to having another little person in the house in a few short months.

Funny Conversations

This morning as I was getting Morgan dressed, we had the following conversation:

Morgan - "What's nanna's name? Peggy?"

Me - "Yes, wow, I didn't know you knew nanna's name!"

Morgan - What's grandad's name? Goofy?"

I think the new name suits him :)
