Firsts

Charlie tried rice cereal for the first time today. He seemed to enjoy it, although I don't think too much actually went down his throat. What did go down the hatch came back up a few minutes later. I cannot wait for the spitting up to be over with!

We woke up Saturday morning to our first snowfall of the season. I was excited to get out and make a snowman or something but the snow was too powdery. I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunities for snowmen if this winter is anything like last year's.

5 Months Old

I can't believe it, but Charles is 5 months old today. He is weighing in at 16 lbs and is a little over 26 inches long. He has started reaching for toys and tries to jam just about everything in his mouth.

Here is Morgan's mugshot at 5 months. Sometimes I think they look so much alike, but they deinitely have their own looks.

When I put this outfit on Charlie, Morgan asked me why Charlie was putting his work clothes on. Ha! They must look like Jody's work clothes to her.

Our little goblins

Charlie and his little buddies dressed up in their Halloween costumes for this week's baby group. As you can see the butterfly costume was this year's "it" costume among the diaper set this year.

Gloria made Morgan some cupcakes for Halloween.

Morgan didn't seem to remember everything that went along with Halloween last year, which made Friday night very exciting. From the decorations to the costume, and the candy being handed out at every house, she loved it. When she got home she put little stashes of candy all over the house and can think of nothing else. All day she has wanted to eat it or look at it. I was able to space out her snacks to about every half hour throughout the day and I can't believe she wasn't complaining of a tummy ache, but I'm sure that will come.

And the pumpkin costume is one of the few things I was able to reuse with Charlie from Morgan. They were both pretty cute little pumpkins.
