Around the House

Friday night, Gloria called and offered to take Morgan for the day on Saturday. We said sure, and although I had nothing planned for the day, I somehow managed to occupy my time while Jody was studying. It was so nice to have a day to myself!

We finally got my birthday painting framed (my bday was in September), and I love it. This was painted by Heather Black, and she did a great job. I gave her some ideas, and this is what she came up with. Morgan loves it and gets quite upset that we won't let her touch it.

We picked up some new furniture in the last week or so. The house is starting to feel a little more full.

Here's Morgan getting caught up on her reading on the new couch.

And here is a picture of the office which we painted last month.

February Freeze

Up until the beginning of January, I was hearing rumblings on a regular basis about global warming and how we're killing the planet because the weather had been so warm. We may be killing the planet, but I have heard no mention of it in relation to the weather we've been having as of late. We've been in a deep freeze with frequent snow storms for the last month and a half. Last winter was unseasonably warm, and I was away for the last few winters before that, but I can't remember the last time we had this much snow. I was in snow up to my thighs in the back yard this weekend (no short jokes!!!!).

Nanny and Gramps Dean picked up a great second-hand baby sled for Morgan, and we tested it out this weekend. Morgan liked it. In other news, Morgan took quite a spill at daycare and is now sporting a bit of a bruise/cut on her forehead.

The Wheatons came over on Saturday night. Morgan was fascinated with watching Bella's every move. She's 4 months older and can do a lot of tricks. They loved chasing each other around the kitchen squealing the entire time.

XLI

We went to William's 4th birthday party last weekend, and had a great time. The older kids painted t-shirts, and there was a pinata! Morgan even got to wear a dress! It was great.

Morgan is walking all over the place on her own, but still prefers to hold a finger if given the choice. She holds one arm up (the same one she holds our hand with) to keep her balance.

She played in the snow while I shovelled yesterday. The 2-4 centimeters they were calling for were more like 10-15 centimeters.
