New Quotes

Morgan has been saying some pretty funny stuff lately. Here are a few of her quotes:

- Leaving the Tim Horton's drive-thru "double-double".

- In response to "what does a moose say?" her answer "unh" with her hand over her mouth (Thanks Jody).

- Asking for ice in her water "Ice, ice, baby."

- Every time we drive by Windsor Court where my nan Embleton lives, she says "Embleton". She's brilliant!

Also, Art says some pretty funny stuff as well. His latest that cracks me up:

- In describing the way Morgan is putting together sentences lately - "Morgan reminds me of a recovering stroke victim".

- Sitting pool-side telling stories - "Holy S%$*". Bella's immediate response - "Holy s%$*". Thank goodness it wasn't me :)

I want to bang on me drum all day!

It seems that lately work is really getting in the way of all the fun we have to pack in. We went out for a nice birthday supper with Gloria on Friday night, hit the road for Nackawic for the fire fighters breakfast which turned into a mini family reunion on Saturday morning, had a playdate on Saturday afternoon, and went to Bella's 2nd birthday party on Sunday.

Morgan and Emily finally got to meet Amy at Saturday's playdate, since she is home visiting from the Cayman Islands. Rejah put on quite the singing/dancing extravaganza and kept us all entertained. William threw in a few songs and moves of his own. I love the hair Amy!

Emily loving the sweet ride ; )

Bella turned 2 today, and celebrated by having a Barney/Dora party. Happy birthday Bella! Barney could be seen hanging out, just chilin.

G-L-O-R-I-A

Happy Birthday Gloria! We hope you enjoyed your big day.

As you can see, Morgan has been able to move past her dislike for cake... Yum, co-op cake.

Zoom Zoom

Morgan woke up the other morning to a new set of wheels which she loved. I think its in her Embleton blood or something. The car came with a pink cell phone. Fast forward 15 years and I bet I can picture her doing this same thing. I guess she must be calling Emily to tell her about her sweet ride.

We went over to Nanny and Gampy's pool, and Morgan's other grandparents stopped by for a quick dip.

My aunt and uncle bought a place in Bear Island, which is where my mom's family is from. We went for a sunset cruise on the Saint John river up to Nackawic, and it was beautiful. It was Morgan's first motor boat ride and although she was a little scared at first, by the end of it she was having a pretty good time.

Blogulous

Summer is in full swing around here. We've been canoeing up the Nashwaak river, celebrating anniversary and birthday parties, hanging around the pool and seeing old friends.

After reading the Frontin's blog about Jaida wearing her rubber boots, that night Morgan asked to wear her red rubber boots around all night. As you can see from this picture, she thought it was pretty funny stuff.

These days there are some friends who I only get to see once in a great while. This week Krista came for a visit and it was great getting caught up, although never long enough!

We went to Skiff lake for Ava's 1st birthday party this weekend, and what a great day. The weather cooperated and there was a bbq, swimming, cake, cupcakes, presents and an all around good time was had by everybody.

The birthday girl

Ava got some new wheels for her birthday which were very cool.

So cool in fact that I didn't think we were going to be able to leave without them. I see a car in Morgan's future.
