Happy Birthday Dad!

Happy birthday to dad, who is celebrating another birthday. I won't say which one, since I used up all of his good humour with my birthday card about him getting old and organ donation :)

Morgan has been going next door on a regular basis to visit the teenage girls over there who lend her nail polish. We go over at least once a week for a visit and a new colour. Today they gave her a boa and lent her a Cinderella movie. She loves it. For those of you who know Morgan, you won't be surprised to read that she doesn't actually speak when she's over there, but they get a lot of air time once we get home...

We were pleasantly surprised to get a visit from the McGatheys today who are visiting from Massachusetts. It was the first time we had met Aidan, and the American Morgan has grown so much since the last time we saw her. Hopefully we'll see them again soon!

The Wheatons had us over for dinner last weekend. We hadn't seen them in a long time so it was great to get caught up. And the girls had a ball together. It was also nice to have the Deans and Lyons' there who were happy to keep the kids occupied so we could kick back a bit. Thanks guys.

Charlie Turns 1

We celebrated Charlie's first birthday today. It feels as if he's been with us forever, but the last year seems to have flown by.

It's great to have a big sister who can help blow out the candle and open presents.

A first taste of this sticky stuff.

He likes it! He really likes it!

Mactaquac

We headed to Mactaquac this weekend to visit some friends who were camping. There were 4 families and the kids are all very close in age. Morgan had her first s'mores and hot dog spider (at the same time) and I think she was in heaven! I see some camping trips in our future.

Charlie has a thing for eating rocks...

Back to work

My aunt Jo lost her battle with cancer this past week. This picture was taken at Thanksgiving and she looked like the picture of health. She had a playful spirit and loved her family, babies and animals. She will be missed by us all.

I started back to work this past week as well, and we've been busy trying to get back into our new routine.

We had our last week day playdate with the Slipps and Lydons at the McDonalds' play area. I remembered why I hadn't been there in a year when Morgan kept hooping for me to help her up or down a level. I got my workout anyway. These 3 are on the same soccer team this summer, and Pete is their coach, so we will resume our weekly get togethers on Monday nights :)
