Harmonica Charlie

Christmas ho ho

Santa Claus made his first appearance of the season at the parade this past weekend. It seemed to be a better parade than usual, and the kids got enough candy canes to last until next Christmas.

We then headed over to the Keats' for a potluck, and the kids had a ball. Charlie was taken with Nathaniel and of course all the boy toys.

Morgan and Emily made each other over. They were so sparkly and shiney afterwards! Morgan decided she wanted to stay for a sleepover. There was no talking her out of it, so she stayed with Emily for her first friend sleepover. I was fully expecting a phone call, but not only did she stay, but she didn't come home until 1:30 the next day! She had a ball and is already trying to figure out when she can do it again.

Odds and Ends

I've been slacking with keeping the blog updated regularly, but it seems as if I don't have a spare moment between work, kids and Jody's studies. Hopefully we will get our husband/dad back in April ;)
I know it is unhealthy to let my 1 1/2 year old eat a paw full of french fries, but look at this face - he couldn't be happier!

Morgan had a rough day at the office.

And maybe Charlie did too.

Spooky Things

A few days before Halloween, Morgan informed me that we needed 3 more spooky things around our house before we would be ready for the big day. I thought my mums and pumpkins might cut it, but I was obviously wrong. So, I rummaged through the basement and pulled out some last minute spooky stuff. The kids had a great time trick or treating, and we've got enough candy to fill Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.

We went to Sylvie and Greg's house for a Halloween party, and the kids had a ball. They really did have a LOT of spooky things, plus loads of yummy food (note the orange frosting on the cupcake. I should have removed the costume prior to his mouth making contact with said frosting. Live and learn). The kids didn't want to leave.
